We look for volunteers who are willing to visit regularly with their dogs, ideally for at least a year or more.

To become a visiting volunteer applicants are required to:

pass an assessment with their dog, and
attend a half day seminar without their dog.

Membership Types

Visiting Volunteer

If you would like to go visiting with your dog as an accredited team, the joining fee is $35 for the first year (includes T-shirt and ID badge) and $20 each year after.

Friend of Animal Companions

If you don’t have a dog, don’t wish to go visiting, or your dog is too young to be accredited, you can become a Friend of AC. The joining fee is $20 per year (does not include T-shirt or ID badge).

For insurance reasons, you must be at least 18 years old to join AC and your dog must be at least 18 months old to be accredited.
